Hi my name Julia Hager

and I'm now about to leave my corporate job in order to work as a psychologist. My purpose is to map out individual paths for others, leading them to the insights they seek.

I help others to find and express their authentic self safely and with joy in an increasingly digital and ever faster moving world!

With 20+ years of corporate work experience as a digital communication & digital channels expert; and an advocate, mentor and coach for neurodivergent colleagues, I'm now more than ready to work in my chosen field of Psychology.

Work and Life experience

Education

My first professional qualification as a young woman in the 90s was first a state-certified foreign language correspondent and then an IHK multimedia screen designer - the forerunner of digital marketing.

Professional career

I started my professional career programming and designing the first marketing websites for a national German banking group. I also trained bankers in updating the website via a CMS I had implemented.

From then on, I had various jobs in this field until I started working for an international marketing agency in 2013 as a project manager for digital marketing automation projects.

This job enabled me to move to an international company in the logistics industry (CHEP) in 2017 as “Manager Digital Marketing Operations”. Have a look at my resume here for more details.

For the last year I was the co-chair of the global neurodiversity employee resource group, supporting neurodivergent colleagues with this ERG and I've been volunteering as a mentor and coach for the last five years.

At the same time as this full-time job, I started studying digital psychology in 2021. This study program was sponsored by my company and I graduated in February 2025.

BSc. degree in Cyberpsychology

In February 2025 I've finished my BSc. degree in applied psychology with the focus of digital psychology*.

Please see here the academic recommendation from my supervising professor.

Final overall grade:
Germany: 1,6 (95%)
UK: 1st class Hons. or A-
US: GPA 4
For my bachelor thesis I received 100%, the best possible grade.

Please see here my Bachelor degree certificate.

Trainer, Coaching & Mentoring

I have actively worked as a trainer, a coach and mentor in my company as part of my job for the last 10 years. During the last two years I have had the honour to support at least three neurodivergent mentees and junior colleagues continuously.
I have acquired several trainer and leadership certifications over the years, which I'm happy to share.

My LinkedIn profile is very thorough and complete and contains a lot of additional information, such as recent  recommendations, certificates, voluntary activities and an experience profile.

My neurodivergency

I am neurodivergent myself, which is very positive for my job. I have above-average IQ and EQ scores. In addition, I have adapted my daily work routine according to my strengths and weaknesses profile so that I can ensure optimal productivity and efficiency, which I enjoy.
Among other things, this qualifies me particularly as a coach for neurodivergent people, which was therefore also the focus of my Bachelor's thesis (see below). My work as an advocate for neurodivergent people is very important to me, as you can see from the articles I have published on LinkedIn, among others, and which my company has published about me:

Information on my thesis research

My Bachelor Thesis aimed to explore how the experience of virtual, interactive digital learning in higher education has changed for autistic adults after the year 2021:

"Exploration of changes in autistic adult's digital learning experience in higher education after the shift in digital teaching technology since 2021"

The unprecedented uplift in both digital teaching technology and its expert use by instructors should have improved this learning experience for autistic adults. My eight interviewees confirmed this hypothesis.

The insight how barriers and facilitators in this experience have changed for autistic adults, can help institutions of advanced learning to further improve their measures of inclusion and support for autistic students.
