Questions regarding my Youtube channel

== Why are there no videos on your channel? (as of July'2025)

I'm preparing for a big launch in August'25 and am making videos that will start to go live then for the Series:

"Back to UNI 2025 as a neurodivergent student".
I'm intentionally creating the videos up ahead to avoid any stress and have time to really think my content through. Very important when you are neurodivergent! ;-)

== What is the goal of your channel and for whom are you doing it?

It's specifically for neurodivergent and introverted adults, and my goal is NOT to make it my main source of income, but to create helpful and engaging content for my community, advocate for Neurodiversity and work in my chosen field - psychology - in a creative and fun way.

== Why do you seem to throw neurodivergent people and introverted ones in one pot?

I do call out differences when applicable, but grouping both together has very good reasons - also psychological ones. I've made a video for this topic, which will go live in August'25, whenupon I will link it here. Of course there is a big difference between both groups, but there are also commonalities that we share.

== When have you started your Youtube channel?

In February 2013. I published videos about quilting no less. It was just a way to pass time and try something new, but it brought me my first 500 subscribers - it was a niche back then. I didn't even try hard.

Questions regarding myself

== How old are you?

I forget most of the time. I'm Gen X, the gen where it was normal for women to not answer. Besides, it is common among autists to not care and forget about their actual age, since age is a social concept that changes with each generation.

== Do you work as a psychologist?

Yes, I work as a psychological counselor and single coach - specifically for neurodivergent adults (only 1:1 sessions). If you are interested, please send me an email.

== Do you have an official diagnosis for autism?

Yes I do, although in Germany it is not really necessary, unless you require customised health services. I got it in order to get a bit more time for my oral exam at Uni.

== Did you leave your corporate job because you came out as an autist?

No, I left because it was time for a change and I had just finished my degree in Psychology. I had planned to leave digital marketing for a long time, because I wanted to work for people, not for a company.

Questions regarding my plans for the future

== Will you stay in academia?

Yes, I will start a master degree in Positive Psychology (definition here) in September'25 in a semi-virtual program at the "German University of Health and Sports" - and I can't wait!!!
